GRI has demonstrated an automated HIP can filling system for radioactive waste. It was developed to meet the requirements of the UK Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA) and US Department of Energy (DOE). Features an innovative filling nozzle, the system is capable of filling powders with varying flow properties, into HIP canisters whilst ensuring containment of toxic and radioactive particles within the system before, during and after the encapsulation process.
